My Photography Journey
Funnily enough, photography felt like fate. I actually stumbled into it when I saw a friend, Dylan, taking pictures one day. I gave it a shot and instantly fell in love. My dad mentioned we already had a camera at home, and from that moment on, I was obsessed. The more I practiced, the better I got, and I realized there’s no limit to how much you can improve.
Growing Up
I grew up in a military family, with my Dad serving 24 years and teaching me the hard knocks of life, while my Mom has always been my biggest supporter, encouraging me no matter what path I take. I also have a pretty awesome brother who has just of an awesome fiancé! From a young age, I was always competitive and adventurous—whether I was out in the woods building “bases” or kicking around a soccer ball, I loved being active and pushing myself.
In high school, I played football and was involved in multiple clubs such as SkillsUSA, BETA, and more. I was a great student with good grades. However, I didn't really have a direction of what I wanted to do most of my high school life. I felt like I wanted to follow my Dad and do something like Business Administration. However, that all changed when I picked up a camera my junior year of high school.
What Now?
Now, I’m studying Entrepreneurship at East Carolina University (#ARGH!), preparing to take my photography passion to the next level. My goal? To build my own photography business—one that stands out, tells incredible stories, and captures moments that last forever.
A Special Part of My Life
One of the most important people in my life is my amazing girlfriend, Kaity. She has been a constant source of love, encouragement, and inspiration. We met our sophomore year of high school when I couldn't even get her to bat an eye at me. But slowly and surely, we started hanging out more, and getting closer over the next 4 years. And that leads to where we are today. This woman is the most amazing girl I could ask for. She is my backbone and I know that no matter what, I can go to her. She supports me in everything I do and I wouldn't trade her for the world.
